ESF Mobile – Account & Data Deletion Policy

How to Request Account Deletion
Users can request deletion of their ESF Mobile account and associated data through the following steps:
1. In-App Deletion:
- Open the ESF Mobile app
- Navigate to the menu/sidebar
- Go to Settings or Profile
- Select “Delete Account”
- Confirm your deletion request
2. Email Request:
- Send an email to esilberman@ucmerced.edu with the subject line “ESF Mobile Account Deletion Request”
- Include the email address associated with your account
- We will process your request within 14 business days
Data That Will Be Deleted
Upon account deletion, the following data is permanently removed:
- Account Information: Email address, display name, user ID, and authentication credentials
- Profile Data: Avatar/photo URL and account settings
- Session Data: Login tokens and active sessions
Data That May Be Retained
Certain data may be retained for legitimate operational, legal, or research purposes:

Note: Any retained data is anonymized and cannot be linked back to your personal identity after account deletion.
Third-Party Services
ESF Mobile uses the following services that may process your data:
- Supabase (Authentication & Database): Data deleted upon account deletion
- Firebase Analytics (Usage Metrics): Anonymized data may be retained per Google’s data retention policies
- Mapbox (Map Services): No personal data stored
